Birthday part 4

Yep, we had 4 different celebrations for Kristen's 6th birthday. How lucky is she? The day after her first party we had a BBQ at my BILs house, but Kaylee and I didn't go because she had pink eye. Since I'm the photographer, no pictures were taken that day. And on her real birthday, the 23rd, she had a paid lunch at school, her Daddy brought home McD's for supper and she got yet another gift from us! Then last weekend when we went to my parents house, we had a little party with my sister, BIL & their 3 boys.

We were supposed to go home Sunday night, but I decided we could stay until Monday then go shopping, have lunch and go to the Wildlife Park on the way home as a treat. DH was sick at home anyway, so I figured the extra day without the girls at home would help him. Here are some pics from the park and playground afterward. The peacocks were just wandering around and having fun hopping from one roof to the other. LOL the swan was having fun chatting with me so yep, I really was that close to him. Not close enough to nip at me though.

I scrapped a few pages since the last post, but am still not able to show you the 2 others I scrapped a few weeks ago. Soon...very soon. :)

Kristen's 6th birthday

Kristen had her 6th birthday party last Saturday. Her birthday isn't until the 23rd, but we'll be going to my parents that weekend to celebrate, so we had it early. Since she is turning 6, she was allowed to invite 6 friends. It was such a hard decision on who! She had a blast and got some really cute stuff :)

Yesterday I had my second laser hair removal session. I was blessed with my grandmother's facial hair and I was just so sick of it, I asked my 2 main Christmas gift givers (my parents and my ILs) to just give me money towards the sessions for Christmas. They are 6 weeks apart and this one hurt a LOT more than the first time. The woman upped the wattage or whatever so it would zap more of the hairs...nice to tell me! That hurt like a son of a bugger! I have 2 more sessions paid for so hopefully I won't have to do any more than that. I can't wait to be hair free!

Today I went to Mic Mac Mall to try and get a Wii Fit without preordering it. I was there before it opened and went to all the stores I knew sold them (The Source, EB Gamez, Zellers & Toys R Us) and they were all sold out (because they did pre-orders) so I was done my shopping (getting stuff for the girls as usual) and went by HMV and saw a sign that said they had them in stock so I went in...the guy said they didn't do preorders and that's why they had them, but they only got in 2! So I was one of the lucky 2 to get one today! I'm so happy...I think this thing will be well worth the $100. I started having back spasms before I got to the mall so I don't want to go full force on trying it out, but once the pain is gone, I am on there trying ALL the stuff! The hula hoop activity is really cool :)

Not again

Sickness is in our house again, this time with Kaylee. She has a watery eye that started yesterday and it produces gook, then late this morning she got a fever I hope she gets better soon because tomorrow is Kristen’s 6th birthday party (her birthday is on the 23rd, but we’re going to my parents that weekend) then the next day we’re having a BBQ at my BILs for Barry’s side of the family to celebrate her birthday.

So because I’m sitting here typing one-handed (Kaylee is sooky so she’s sitting with me), I’m going to cut this short. Ta ta!

She's back!

She’s back to school! Finally Kristen’s fever has gone down and she was well enough to go to school this morning! Good thing it happened over a weekend or else she would’ve missed 4 days!

Mother's Day

For Mother’s Day I asked for a Blizzard cake from DQ and a new set of headphones so I can comfortably watch a movie on the laptop while DH watches his races during the weekends. LOL (the cake is the middle one in the picture below). It better be good! It cost $30! He mentioned they had a Reese’s one, so I told him he can get it for Father’s Day. LOL

Also, on Thursday Kristen gave me her Mother’s Day gift that she made at school. A cute card/poster and a pot that she decorated with a packet of flower seeds in it.

Sick girlie

My little girlie is sick. She was fine up until after school yesterday then developed a fever. If she lays on the couch for more than a half an hour, you know something is wrong. LOL She had a fever all night and even got sick once (freaked out and screamed for me when that happened, which woke up her little sister and scared her then she started crying ) She hasn’t gotten out of bed yet today and it’s past 11am right now. I hope this isn’t the flu and is just a 1-2 day thing.

Weekend Away

Well technically it wasn’t a weekend, it was Sunday to Wednesday, but it was still fun! Here’s a few pics from our trip to the park on Monday! In the top left photo… right at the bottom of the tree trunk…see Kristen standing there? LOL That’s how huge those trees are! (click to see larger pics)
