Happy birthday Kaylee!

Today is Kaylee's 5th birthday and she'll be starting school in only 2 days! We had her birthday party on Saturday and it was great! She loved every gift she received, the party people stayed after the party to have a BBQ supper with us and it was a beautiful day!

I still am not feeling that great...will see in a week if I'm clinically depressed. I have managed to get a few pages done though.





For our 10th anniversary that is coming up next week, Barry bought me a ring with 3 diamonds in it to represent the past, present & future. Isn't it so pretty?? I bought him a pocket watch that shows the inner workings which he loves. I had it engraved too. :)





We’re possibly getting a hurricane this weekend. I hope Earl isn’t too bad on us and we don’t lose power! It’d be nice for it to miss us all together though because we are supposed to go to a “festival” type thing on Saturday and will probably have to miss it.

Health problems

I’m so sorry I haven’t been around and designing much lately. I’m dealing with some health problems right now that just zap my creativity and energy. I haven’t even scrapped since May and even then it was only one or two pages. On May 2nd I was researching why I have been so itchy lately (all over but no rash) and came across the term Candidiasis aka Yeast Overgrowth. I had a lot of the symptoms it gives and I don’t want to feel this way forever so I am searching for a holistic doctor to help me on my way to being healthy. Most modern doctors don’t usually believe in yeast overgrowth so it’s hard for them to actually help you. I joined Weight Watchers on May 4th then started the Candida Diet on June 3rd and have since lost 25lbs.



It's a very hard diet to follow though...no yeast, nothing with sugar in it, nothing fermented, no mushrooms, etc. so there wasn't a whole lot for me to eat. My itching hasn't subsided at all so I'm thinking of going off the diet soon.

I haven't scrapped lately, but here are the layouts I've done that I haven't shown yet.

On Sunday I had to go to the walk-in clinic to make sure I didn’t have a UTI (which is common for me) but what is even more common is having the symptoms of a UTI, but not having one. I think it could be Interstitial Cystitis but I haven’t been diagnosed yet so I can’t say that’s exactly what it is. Anyway, I didn’t have one (but hey, I had a few hours to myself LOL) and since the stores were still open for another 25 minutes, I ran into Staples and got me one of these!



After years of wanting one, I finally got me a Wacom tablet! I was going to get it when we got our tax money but I figured why wait? What’s the difference? LOL So now I have to get used to using it and figure out what to draw and with what program, because PSP isn’t the greatest with it’s drawing tools. Yes I know it’s a discontinued model, but it was either that, spend $140 on a newer one or spend the same amount of money I spent, but get a model that only uses your fingers (Bamboo Touch). I couldn’t see myself spending $140 nor only using my fingers to draw so I chose the discontinued model. Hey, it still does what I want it to do right?

I haven’t been feeling that great since Sunday (chills, fever, clamminess, etc.) so I haven’t done much in the past few days but surf...hopefully I’ll get back to normal soon! In the meantime, here are some new layouts!

Easter time!

Yesterday Barry’s parents and uncle came from the city to visit and while they were here, Kev & Barry swapped out the winter tires for the all seasons, and the guys put up shelves in the shed they built last fall. It took ALL afternoon but they look good and now everything has a place rather than just be piled in the middle of the floor!



So today is Easter…Kristen woke up just before 5am and said she’d read until 6. Umm…no. I told her to go back to sleep. LOL They both got up at 6am and wanted to go check and see what the Easter Bunny gave them, so I grabbed my camera sleepily and headed out to the living room. They checked out their stuff, found all the hidden eggs and promptly ate a few of them. I put all their candy into some bags and brought them back into my room with me so they wouldn’t eat it all when I happily went back to my bed to hopefully sleep some more. These girls sure are spoiled!

March Break!

Today is the first official day of March Break here and the week is supposed to be almost sunny the whole time! How awesome is that! Have a wonderful weekend!

It's a sunny weekend!

I can’t believe we’re almost a week into March already! The weather is getting a bit warmer and a LOT muckier…every time the girls go out to play they come in covered in mud. This weekend is sunny though which makes me VERY happy.
