I think that's about it from me this rainy November afternoon...my girls will be going with my ILs overnight tonight so I'm getting my eyebrows waxed later on, then Barry and I will be going out for supper (nowhere special) and to go see 2012!

New camera and Christmas decor!
So the day before we adopted Marlie (yes, we changed her name) my XT stopped working so I got it sent to Canon Canada and found out it'd cost $350 to fix! I ended up buying a Nikon D3000 rather than spend the money to get my beloved Rebel XT fixed. Even though we didn't really have the money to do it, I thought it was the smartest thing to do. I actually first bought a Rebel XS, one step up from the XT, because I thought that's what I should do since I already had a Canon. But I didn't like how noisy the flash popping up and the shutter was, plus the flash strobed in low light situations and I didn't like that, so I returned it. I went to my local camera store and asked if there was any other DSLR in that price range and he showed me the Nikon and I fell in love! It looks so much more expensive and professional than the XS does and it's a lot quieter, plus it doesn't strobe! I took some really nice photos of my Christmas decorations the other night along with my tripod and I think they turned out great!
